Telfar Clemens founded his eponymous brand almost twenty years ago and amassed a huge legion of fans; An announcement to announce tomorrow’s opening of the beloved designer’s first brick-and-mortar store proclaims Telfar to be “the largest black-owned brand in history.” The 10,000-square-foot flagship is in the former OMG Jeans space at Canal and Broadway and will house all things Telfar (including pieces from the Wilson collaboration) as well as a TV Studio. There’s a bag bar that “will serve every bag we have, regardless of online availability,” and will also offer the ability to preview new bags before they’re publicly announced. The Joyce Theatre’s world premiere production brings the Lindy Hop champions and their fun-to-watch talents to the Joyce stage, celebrating holiday classics played live by the Eyal Vilner Big Band, including “Sleigh Ride,” “Winter Wonderland “, “What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?,” and more (If the name sounds familiar, that’s because this is a new rendition of their acclaimed show, “SW!NG OUT”). of the audience also plays a part – in the second act, they are invited to join the fun by dancing with friends, family and artists alike in a post-show jam session.A Very SW!NG OUT Holiday runs from December 3rd to the 15th Dec. Widely regarded as one of the country’s top event designers, Rebecca Gardner is also the brainchild of Houses & Parties, a website that offers a wide range of gifts, from the practical to the wonderfully cheeky and irreverent. On Monday (Nov. 25), she’ll unveil A Screaming Blast, her Houses & Parties pop-up store on Veronica Beard Madison Avenue, where she’ll deck the halls (and windows) with exclusive table favors and no-nonsense gifts . . Examples include heirloom silver, artisan silverware, thousands of luxurious table linens and party hats. She’s also managed to wrangle a bright blue 1954 convertible that will make periodic loops along Madison Avenue, drawing guests to explore the festive offerings. Until December 15. “With colors,” a show now at the Superhouse in Tribeca, represents the first time Wendy Maruyama and Tom Loeser have appeared together in our fair city in more than 30 years. On view: a mix of works made especially for the occasion and historical examples of both artists’ works. It represents a return to the duo’s radical roots, transforming American fine art furniture. In a statement, the gallery noted “While today’s furniture artists enjoy the freedom to choose material, technique and finish, the duo’s break from traditional woodworking and finishing techniques over 40 years ago was tantamount to a revolutionary act. ” Through January 11, 2025. New Yorkers never seem to tire of a good, classic French Bistro. The latest bar, Paris Bar, recently opened in the Le Meridien Hotel on West 57th Street. The 80-seat establishment marks Fireman Hospitality’s first entry into that category, but they did their homework, tapping chef Brando De Oliveira—a graduate of Paris’ Le Cordon Bleu and former chef at the iconic, star-studded Aureole Michelin – to oversee the kitchen. . It’s open for dinner nightly, plus brunch on the weekends, with menus featuring crowd-pleasers (Bistro Burger, Croque Monsieur, Salade Nicoise, Steak Frites, Moules Frites and Pate de Champagne) with a few surprises thrown in for good measure good.
